Formed
in 1995, D'RAMA Productions, recognised by the National Arts Council
as an Arts (Drama) Education Company, seeks to bring Drama into
the lives of students.
Our
Drama and Education team is headed by Mr Danny Jow, B.A. (with
distinction) Drama, Queensland University of Technology, Australia.
D'RAMA
Productions is actively engaged in training students to develop
life-skills and creative thinking through Drama in Education.
We have taken this program to several schools around Singapore
including St. Hilda's Secondary School, Queenstown Secondary School,
Fajar Secondary School. On top of this, we have drama programmes
training students to put up performances, be it sketches, plays
or musicals as part of their Experience Arts Education Programme.
Victoria Junior College, St. Andrews Secondary School, Zhong Hua
Secondary School are some of many schools that have engaged us.
Apart
from that, D'RAMA Productions is also heavily involved in School
tours and National Education through drama, having staged several
different plays ranging from issue-based plays to historical events
as part of the students' Exposure Arts Education Programme.
Even
as Science gains importance and is an investment in the
future and the key to Singapore's global competitiveness,
the humanities (ARTS) must continue to keep the country
humane.

Prime Minister Tony Tan

Our
mission is to use drama as an educational tool in imparting life
skills to the young, We would like to impart to the students the
appropriate drama skills and cultivate in them a love for the
arts, whether as an observer or a practitioner. We aim to achieve
this by providing holistic educational drama programmes, employing
both academic and creative platforms, dealing with issues and
themes that are relevant to our young.

To
prepare and produce students who would be world-ready, yet
rooted to Singapore, a number of programmes have been implemented,
including character-development and creative thinking taught
as skills throughout the curriculum.

Singapore
Education Minister
